  "When I was first exposed to AST and Jim Madrid, I was at the Seattle Sounders Academy. At that time, I was not the picture-perfect student-athlete that I wanted to be. I had below-average grades, I was in a dry spell with my sport, and above all, I didn’t believe in myself. With the teachings and guidance of the AST program, I was able to finish in the top 25% of my high school graduating class, get a full ride to Division 1 college, and excel in achieving whatever goal I set my mind to. The tools and teachings AST and Madrid shared with me are things that I still practice to this day religiously. It changed my life."

"I was so blessed to have the opportunity to work with AST Jim Madrid and Chad Busick. We here at Paradise High School had the worst fire in California history that took everything from our community and where left with a huge hole in our hearts. We were feeling lost and missing something we couldn't replace, but the AST team made it their mission to help us find a way to look at the positive. They helped us realize through every adversity we have an opportunity to connect and that connection helped us grow. We will never be able to repay the kindness they gave us, but we pay it forward with the connections we make.
